The purpose of the project How to Succeed in the Ecosystem Game was to build a good understanding of the best practices in managing business-driven innovation ecosystems. The research contributed to the identified research gap in thorough understanding of ecosystem management practices for sustainable and value-adding operations and efficient use of available resources. The second research dimension focused on internationalization of the ecosystems, both in terms of global competitiveness of the ecosystems, and increasing internationalization for Finnish companies.
The project was managed by Mr. Erkki Ormala, Senior Fellow, at the Aalto University School of Business, Department of Management Studies, and supported by CKIR. Data for the research consisted of interviews and a survey with ecosystem representatives in Finland. The research report describes recurring challenges and their suggested solutions.
