2017-2019
The SynchroniCity project consisted of 34 organizations from the public sector, private sector, NGOs, and academia that joined forces to harness existing front-runner city capacities and provide opportunities for industry, SMEs, and other cities to pilot IoT-enabled urban services in a coordinated manner on a massive global scale.
Concretely, the project deployed IoT-enabled urban services in two phases. The first phase focused on mobility and near-real-time policy support. The second phase involved an Open Call through which new services could be proposed and developed.
